Moving into Spring

It’s almost time for one of our favorite times of the year : spring cleaning.

In France, this means second hand shops are going to soon be filled to the brim with new treasures and little knacks to be DIY’d. Emmaus is like a version of Goodwill, only better. You can usually find one, if not two in most big cities and they truly are packed with everything from Louis XIV style furniture to beautiful wicker baskets to handmade glassware to tiles both old and new.

If you’re not based in France, any flea market or second hand shop will do the trick. Make a day or a weekend out of it! For us it was a girl’s weekend spent hopping around to various second hand stores.

Spring also means garage sales, estate sales, and more and more little markets popping up. Take advantage!
